Our Values

We recognise our responsibility to both people and planet, and integrity is at the heart of everything we do. Under the umbrella of integrity - we are guided by the below foundational values:

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

We strive to be inclusive and diverse with our representation of size, gender, race, disability, and age. We have a responsibility to both internally and externally work towards breaking down prejudices that make minorities feel excluded. We wholeheartedly believe that fashion should be inclusive, and we’re proud that we are continuously, and collectively working toward a more inclusive fashion landscape.

As an Australian company we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and Elders past and present. Reconciliation is a foundational pillar for our business. More on this below.

RESPECT

Respect for one another at our head office, respect for the stakeholders we encounter throughout our business; from our supply chain to our talent partnerships. It is with the deepest respect that we have committed to diversity and speaking out publicly on matters of community importance.

TRANSPARENCY

Transparency guides all that we do. We are committed to real, authentic, and long-term impact across the commitments we make here; from diversity through to sustainability and supply chain management. We wish to lead with transparency first and foremost, as we are not interested in quick fixes for the sake of short-term marketing gains.

Our suppliers are critical to this pillar, and an integral part of the creative process. We are committed to adopting the Ethical Trading Initiative Base Code principles:

  • Employment is chosen freely
  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
  • Safe and hygienic working conditions
  • Child labour shall not be used
  • Living wages are paid
  • Working hours are not excessive
  • No discrimination is practiced
  • Regular employment is provided
  • No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed

Throughout 2023, we will be developing a Responsible Sourcing Policy, in consultation with our Suppliers, which will guide the way we work with our suppliers through an approach of mutual respect.

SUSTAINABILITY

We are driven by a ‘made to last’ mentality. This drive for luxury and quality is why each of our collections takes shape over a 12-month period. The core of our DNA is creating pieces you can keep in your wardrobe for years to come.

We also recognise however, that sustainability means more than simply timeless design. So, we have formalised our commitment to sustainability through the development of a sustainability policy, a strategy to drive this, and a cross-functional working group to implement. This working group will be considering the environmental impact at each stage of a garments ‘life’ to ensure we are making more informed choices from design to production and ongoing garment care. You can read our policy in full here.

RECONCILIATION

We acknowledge the continued inequality that exists within our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities. As an Australian business, Reconciliation is an essential foundational pillar. There is still a huge inequality within the educational, health and employment outcomes of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples, and we are committed to doing what we can to not only raise awareness for Reconciliation, but to provide practical support to help. One of these initiatives includes the development of a Fashion Design Scholarship in partnership with TAFE.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) is being developed and will be submitted to Reconciliation Australia in early 2024 for review and approval. When finalised, this will be available to read in full here.

When representing Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities – we do not seek to be the voice, but to support their voice, to be advocates, to listen, to learn and ensure we have Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander involvement in whatever we do that involves or impacts these communities.

As a company, we also support the Uluru Statement from the Heart and believe in constitutional recognition for our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities People and Culture.
